This year RTP - portuguese broadcaster - has opened the national selection to foreign composores. The deadline to submit songs is January the 19th. A jury will then select 30 songs to be presented to all on RTP website. In this step everyone will be able to listen and vote on its favourites from 19 to 26 January. The 24 most voted themes will gain a ticket to one of the 2 semifinals. These 2 TV shows will select the 12 finalists (6 from each semifinal). Results in semifinals will be based on televote alone and the final will be decided with a 50% televote and 50% dsitrictal jury system.
Like many other fan sites we want to invite any inteterted musicians to join portuguese fans and portuguese audience in Festival da Canção 2010. Send your songs and join the party!
